Mavericks look to repeat against Grand Forks Central in quarterfinals — Grand Forks Arts news

DICKINSON — The road to the Class AA semifinals runs through Dickinson, where the Mavericks will look to shake off a tough loss last week against Minot North and keep their playoff run alive against Grand Forks Central. Dickinson already handled the Knights once this season, earning a 28-12 win in Week 3 to move to 3-0 and surpass last year s win total. Friday, the Mavericks will look to do it again, this time with a semifinal spot on the line. Nate Stevenson rushes past a Knight defender late in the second half of the Mavericks victory. Carter Dooner / The Dickinson Press Nate Stevenson, Paxton Lyson and Wyatt Turner will be key for Dickinson once again, with Lyson already proving he can give Grand Forks Central problems. He snatched three interceptions and a touchdown in the September matchup, as the Mavericks pass rush and secondary kept the Knights from finding much success, especially through the air. Dickinson will need another strong defensive performance Frida
